JROTC Cadet Leadership Camp (JCLC)
The 2014 JCLC Offered FPW Cadets the unique opportunity to earn the coveted RECONDO Tab Award. This Tab has only been awarded to 150 JROTC Cadets since its inception and this year 9 of those 150 came from FPW! Cadets were required to pass a swim test; Rappel from a 30 ft wall; negotiate a High COPES obstacle course; complete snorkel and scuba training; 6 mile road march; 5 mile kayak paddle and a Water Leadership Reaction Course. Training was conducted at Camp Sawyer, a Boy Scout Camp located in Scout Key, Florida Keys. Cadets camped there for four days of the training. This is one of the most mentally and physically demanding JROTC awards offered and we are very proud of our first RECONDO graduating class. See below for pictures from this unique training event.
