How can I help the Panther Battalion?<\/span><\/h1>\n

With current budget constraints at all levels of county, state and federal government and the looming budget cuts coming for JROTC programs across the country (receives the majority of its funding from the Department of Defense), we can always use a “boost” from parents and the local community to ensure that our (your) Cadets are well resourced to learn, grow and achieve on an equal footing with their peers. \u00a0The Panther Battalion gratefully accepts assistance in the form of materials, services, volunteers and monetary donations. \u00a0In order to provide some insight into our current projects and connect donors with an area of need that they may be interested to support, we have provided the project list below. \u00a0If you have an interest to support any of these projects in any way, please click on the “Contact” tab above and call or email the Battalion Instructor. \u00a0Any support, no matter how small you may think it is, is gratefully appreciated by the Cadets and will directly contribute to their professional development and the quality of our (their) program.<\/p>\n

Concrete Drill Pad<\/em><\/h3>\n

Background – We would like to increase participation in our Drill and Color Guard Teams. \u00a0We currently have lines painted in the area surrounding the soccer field on campus to establish our regulation drill practice areas. \u00a0These grassy areas are functional but not ideal for drill practice as they are on an uneven surface and must be repainted regularly. They are also a bit far from our JROTC building. \u00a0We need a 50′ x 50′ and a 100′ x 100′ practice area. \u00a0If there are any companies who are interested to conduct this work and\/or make a donation towards a 100′ x 100′ drill pad, please contact one of the JROTC instructors at Westwood.<\/h4>\n
